Bury Your Dead!!!

cloudy, lots of rain, cool, temps 12

Yiipppeee!!!!!

Bury Your Dead is now out in the US and Canada!!!! And will soon be out everywhere!

Wow - and, oddly, while I want it to do well, I'm not actually terrified. Just very, very, happy that you can now read it if you want to.

Ahhh.

And, of course we would want to, Louise!!!

I wanted to tell you hello. Haven't been around for quite a while. All is well however.

I'm on a Louise-a-thon in October. I'm going to reread all your earlier books prior to reading BURY YOUR DEAD. I'm excited to see the stories back to back get the big picture.

Best of luck to you as always! You're still my favorite!!

My copy is being shipped today. I'm so looking forward to reading it.

Your tour schedule is brutal. Hold up well and knock 'em dead.

I will not read another Inspector Gamache book again after reading Bury Your Dead. I hated the ending, the last paragraph. You could have pulled a rabbit out of a hat at the end but you didn't. I was so upset that it ended the way it did. I honestly thought something else good was going to come about... I wish I could be more explicit but since the book just came out, I don't want to give away anything to those who haven't read it. Farewell Three Pines and Inspector Gamache.

Dear Louise,

Ah, but I wish I could be reading it tonight.

Stopped by my local indie bookstore after work and found their copies have not yet arrived. The order is due in Monday, they say. So I ordered one and paid up front. Can't wait until it arrives.

I hope your tour is going well and that you're getting enough sleep. (Sorry, I'm nobody's mother but like to give mom-type advice.)

Best to you,

Brenda B.

Louise, just finished. Absolutely a great book. This was my treat for having to register a truck and waiting for an hour and a half. I knew by the time I got home the book would have been delivered. Totally surprised by the who did it and really sad about the ending. I so liked that agent; wanted to see him/her continue. Don't want to spoil anything. Now I can't believe I have to wait forever for the next book. That is so hard! Hope you are enjoying your tour; I'm sure you must be as everyone has to be so excited about the book and of course meeting you. Thanks for the great story. Michele

I'm looking forward to your book signing tonight in Pittsburgh. I'm driving in from Michigan. I do my best to support independent book shops. I'm also looking forward to spending some time with Inspector Gamache.

Wonderful news! I've, like others, have been waiting for so long. Comments are interesting re the ending of this book, makes me all the more anxious to read. It may be a sad one but no doubt true to the characters and book for you possess an author's integrity in spades. Off to buy the book.
