You can pretend (without difficulty) that you're in cottage country. Totally different.Elizabethnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1885582611314646448.post-89430016423897968052009-06-04T15:34:17.890-07:002009-06-04T15:34:17.890-07:00Dear Elizabeth,

Very beautiful ride...can only imagine how stunning it is to skate the frozen canal! Michael leaned over and said, next winter, we bring our skates and do it. I happily and readily agreed.Louise Penny Authorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10316557270587688970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1885582611314646448.post-86112692640704200522009-06-04T08:13:53.805-07:002009-06-04T08:13:53.805-07:00I hope you are able to enjoy it here in Ottawa. Shops empty, drug addicts, etc. Much blame must fall on the NCC, which seems to have lost its way. Fortunately, the Rockcliffe, New Edinburgh, Lindenlea area remains lovely--a real urban village with a strong connection to nature, especially around MacKay Lake. We go swimming in The Pond every day in the summer. Like being at a cottage.Elizabethnoreply@blogger.com
